The Challenge

Originating as a wholesale tile supplier, Room H2o has evolved into Dorset’s leading bathroom specialist, catering to both contract bathroom and retail clients. David Burgess, Room H2o’s director says their success is based on “consistently exceeding clients’ expectations.” This has led to the addition of a sales and contracts office in Epsom, Surrey in recent years.

With the company on an upward growth trajectory, the Room H2o team were keen to modernise payment processes and further improve the customer experience. The Room H2o business model enables their staff to work remotely, even outside of the UK, but their original payment technology meant that staff had to call head office to utilise a card terminal, whenever a customer wanted to make a payment.

Additionally, although they also accepted bank transfers, reconciliation was time-consuming and the delay in closing a sale meant there was less time to focus on sales and revenue generation.

Sending payment links to customers has now become the norm for Room H2o, and the virtual terminal provides AVS/CV2 security too.

Since moving to our payment platform, the team at Room H2o have been amazed at the way it’s truly revolutionised their business. The company has particularly benefited from the use of payment links and our virtual terminal. Now, multiple staff members can take payments simultaneously and they can also attach a payment link to the bottom of invoices, so customers can securely pay at any time. Gone are the days of only being able to take a payment during business hours!

Nishi’s felt they’ve received real value for money with Blink Payment too, especially with features like tracking payments and sending customers automatic reminders. With many staff members working remotely, it’s streamlined the process so there are no delays when customers want to make a payment.
